Unlike much of the Bay Area, Santa Cruz is a walkable, driveable nature-filled paradise. ![]() One of my favorite memories of living here in high school was walking a trail to the beach and stumbling into thousands of Monarch butterflies taking a breather there in the Eucalyptus grove. It also makes a great romantic getaway in the U.S. Point Reyes National Seashore is a beautiful cape in Marin County, California and one of my favorite Bay Area road trips due to its wide variety of landscapes and activities.
